Gist Answers Content Policy

Introduction

ProRata prides itself on quality. This is foundational to our search tool, Gist Answers.

This Policy (“Content Policy”) applies to all publishers implementing Gist Answers and supplements your agreement with ProRata, which requires compliance with policies as provided and updated by ProRata from time to time. All publishers using Gist Answers are obligated to meet certain minimum standards and compliance with relevant laws. If you do not agree to comply with the Content Policy, do not use or continue to use Gist Answers. We also reserve the right to decline or discontinue your participation in Gist Answers for any failure to comply with these requirements.

Please review this Content Policy carefully before using our products and services . If we learn that you have violated any aspect of this Content Policy, we may throttle, suspend, or terminate your access.

As our technology evolves and we learn more, we will revise this Content Policy. Accordingly, ProRata may update this Content Policy at any time by posting notice of such changes. By using the Gist Answers following such posting or notice, you agree to any updated version of this Content Policy.

Ownership

Publishers must be able to prove that they own the domain. Prorata may contact the site owner or use other means to verify ownership. The most common way to verify ownership is to give a html file to the owner that they can add it to the root directory. Other ways include adding a meta tag to the websites’ home page, using whois to confirm identity.

Site Requirements

Gist Answers is currently available for websites (desktop and mobile), not for apps. Websites must be active and accessible, including:

• Loads without major errors. • Has meaningful, original text content and not solely user generated content, and not a placeholder, “under construction,” or parked domain • Have clear navigation and an identifiable purpose. • The majority of content must be relevant to the site’s stated theme or audience. • Sites should not contain excessive pop-ups, overly intrusive ads, or clickbait-only content

Sites should contain content in English and positioned for US readers. Exceptions may be made for sites with high numbers of international traffic.

Sites should not be directed to minor children.

Content Standards.

This Content Policy is designed to enable beneficial uses while mitigating potential harms. Accordingly, by using our products and services, you confirm and represent that your properties do not violate or contain any of the following;

Violent or Harmful Content including

• Depicting support for organizations or individuals associated with violent extremism, terrorism, or hateful behavior • Facilitate or promote any act of violence or intimidation targeting individuals, groups, animals, or property • Promote Illegal activities such as piracy or fraud • Hate speech or unlawful harassment • Terrorism-related content or extremist ideology or hateful behavior • Animal cruelty or trafficking in endangered species • Content that glorifies or promotes self-harm, suicide, or abuse

Exploitation of Children, including

• Promotion of child sexual abuse material. We strictly prohibit and will report to relevant authorities and organizations where appropriate any content that exploits or abuses minors • Facilitate the trafficking, sextortion, or any other form of exploitation of a minor • Facilitate minor grooming, including generating content designed to impersonate a minor • Facilitate or depict child abuse of any form, including instructions for how to conceal abuse • Promote or facilitate pedophilic relationships, including via roleplay with the model • Fetishize minors

Adult or Pornographically Explicit Content, including

• Pornography, deepfake sex imagery, or sexual services • Non-consensual sexual themes or extreme fetish content • Content featuring or appearing to feature minors in adult contexts • Content that is deemed invasive to privacy and breaches confidentiality

Weapons, Drugs, Alcohol and Explosives, including

• Promotion of the design, distribution or sale or instruction of firearms, explosives, or related parts designed to cause harm to or loss of human life • Promotion of illegal drug use • Promotion of underage drug or alcohol consumption

Violent Content, including

• Graphic violence, gore, or death imagery • Depictions of extreme violence or criminal acts • Profane or obscene language used prominently • Facilitate the destruction or disruption of any critical infrastructure such as power grids, water treatment facilities, telecommunication networks, or air traffic control systems • Any interference with the operation of military bases and related infrastructure

Privacy Rights violations, including:

• Collecting Content that invades private lives without consent or legitimate public interest • Compromising security or gaining unauthorized access to computer systems or networks, including spoofing and social engineering • Violate any person's privacy rights as defined by applicable privacy laws, such as sharing personal information without consent, accessing private data unlawfully, or violating any relevant privacy regulations • Impersonating a human by presenting results as human-generated, or using results in a manner intended to convince a natural person that they are communicating with a natural person when they are not

Intellectual Property violations, including

• Content which infringes another’s copyrights, trademarks or trade secrets. • Sells counterfeit products

Misinformation, including

• Create and disseminate deceptive or misleading information about a group, entity or person • Create and disseminate deceptive or misleading information about laws, regulations, procedures, practices, standards established by an institution, entity or governing body • Create and disseminate deceptive or misleading information with the intention of targeting specific groups or persons with the misleading content • Create and advance conspiratorial narratives meant to target a specific group, individual or entity • Impersonate real entities or create fake personas to falsely attribute content or mislead others about its origin without consent or legal right • Provide false or misleading information related to medical, health or science issues

Trustworthiness, including

Publishers shall not engage in phishing or scams, misleading or fraudulent financial schemes, distribution of hacking tools, spyware, or unauthorized surveillance software. Manipulative media and Misrepresentative Content is not allowed. Some examples are listed below • Deceives users through manipulated media related to social issues or politics • Misrepresents or conceals information about the publisher, the purpose of the content or the content itself • Falsely implies having an affiliation with any individual, organization or service • Health misinformation contradicting authoritative medical guidance

Legal Compliance

You must respect and comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using Gist Answers. You may not advocate, promote or incite any party to commit or assist any unlawful or criminal act). Even in cases where conduct or content may not be explicitly prohibited by these Guidelines or other ProRata agreement, we will take action consistent with the principles we have described in these Guidelines to promote an environment of trust and safety.

Label AI Uses.

We recommend that Publishers are transparent to their users that they are interacting with an AI system rather than a human, particularly for all customer-facing chatbots and products serving minors:
