Provide Your Content for Gist

Now that your account is ready, the next step is to connect your website’s content to Gist Console.

Why is this important? Because the AI-powered search bar needs access to your posts, pages, or articles in order to answer your visitors’ questions accurately. Without your content, the AI wouldn’t have anything to “think about.” Here’s how to set it up:

1. ✍️ Your Publication Name

To begin, provide the name of your website, blog, or company. This helps you easily identify your project within the Gist Console, particularly if you manage multiple sites.

Example: "TechWorld Blog"

2. 🔗 Select Your Content Source

Gist offers three straightforward methods to integrate your content. Choose the one that best suits your website:

📚 Option A: CMS Ingestion (No Code - Ideal for WordPress)

If your website is built on WordPress, this is the simplest method.

  • Provide the dedicated URL where your WordPress posts are stored.
  • Format Example: https://yourwebsite.com/wp-json/wp/v2/posts
  • This link directs Gist to precisely where your articles can be fetched.

🌐 Option B: RSS Feed (No Code - For Sites with RSS)

For websites that offer an RSS feed, this option allows Gist to automatically import all your articles.

  • An RSS feed is a special link that lists all your published content.
  • Paste your RSS feed link into the provided box.
  • Format Example: https://yourwebsite.com/rss
  • If you maintain multiple feeds, simply click "Add more RSS URLs" to ensure all your content is tracked.

🚧 Option C: Crawl Your Website (Coming Soon)

This feature is currently under development. Please disregard it for now.

3. ✅ Agree to Terms & Conditions

To proceed, please tick the box confirming "I agree to the terms and conditions". This grants Gist permission to securely access and import your site's content.

4. 💾 Save Your Configuration

Once you've entered all details, click the blue Save button to finalize your settings and continue.

🎉 Congratulations!

Gist will now continuously and automatically fetch your content in the background, ensuring your AI-powered search bar is always updated with your latest articles.

You've successfully connected your content source. Your next step is to customize the appearance of your AI search bar to seamlessly blend with your website's design.
